Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is located in an oldie worldy village setting with a huge fireplace, full of character. The room in the converted stable block at the top of the building was spacious and charming with many unique features. The service was top-notch with a very attentive and friendly staff. However, the dining experience was not acceptable, lacking a fully cooked breakfast, although the room service was prompt and helpful. The property's potential is marred by an unkempt exterior and some cleanliness issues. Despite this, for the parts of Norfolk we were visiting, the location was convenient but didn't meet our nostalgic expectations.
The hotel is in a great location for exploring Diss, with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms vary from spacious and elegant in the main building to outdated and in need of renovation in the coach house. The dining experience had some highlights but also room for improvement.
The hotel's rooms were considerately set out with all the facilities needed but were sadly let down by the lack of thorough cleaning. The staff appeared uninterested, and the poor television reception limited the overall experience. However, the location was decent, offering easy access to local attractions, and the dining experience was a mix of satisfactory and disappointing moments.
